Travelling to alloa

Coming by car? We recommend you park in the public car park that is accessed to either the left or right of the Town Hall but not directly attached it (If you are in a large car park behind the the Town Hall you are in the right place). This is completely free for you. If you park there before the ceremony then the church is a short walk down the hill (if all goes to plan, we will be walking back up with you, a married couple).

Public Transport? All trains go through Stirling so it is easy to get to Alloa from Glasgow (to the West) and Edinburgh (to the East). On the night we will be finishing up at about the right time for the last trains heading either West or East from Alloa.

Scotrail Trains

Scotrail provides almost all the train services to Stirling and Alloa.

All Alloa trains stop in Stirling and run twice hourly during peak travel times and hourly during off peak times. With a couple of exceptions, all Alloa trains head to Glasgow, and travellers to Edinburgh will have to change trains in Stirling.

Do note that not all trains from Glasgow goes directly to Alloa – if you are on one with Dunblane as end station, you will need to change in Stirling.
